Antifragile presents a body of work by Xuejing Wang that transforms everyday and discarded materials through processes of assembling, stitching, and layering. Nails, bricks, wood, glass, and wire are reconfigured into sculptures and paintings that foreground the physical qualities and histories embedded in their surfaces.
Straged across three rooms, the exhibition adopts the spatial logic of a house. Familiar domestic elements like windows, curtains, and brick walls reappear as points of reference between private and shared experiences. Across these works, fragile and durable materials are brought into tension. The works trace processes of accumulation, deformation, and repair, reflecting Wang’s interest in the transformation of materials and the subtle forms of labour embedded in everyday life.
